Part 2: Business Vs. Solitude | Finding Harmony and Balance in Our Chaotic, Overwhelming Lives
Description
S2 Ep. 40 If you have not listened to part 1 of this short series, I recommend you do so! Let’s discuss solitude.
Alexandra Stoddard said, “Solitude is the foundation for all genuine work.” When we take time to say “No” to things, we automatically say “Yes” to others. Make sure your time stays your own: on your calling, your ministry and your own regulation.
If you think that solitude is the enemy, let me remind you: Jesus withdrew CONSTANTLY to pray and connect with the Lord. He withdrew to be silent and to listen. If The very Son of God modeled it for us, then we should take it very seriously.
You have heard the verse “Be Still and Know That I Am God.” That is not a suggestion, its a command. We must listen to the one who created us, as He knows best!
I want to challenge you: Create ONE daily ritual of solitude.
Something I’m Loving: My teenage sons are doing a weekly Bible study. They chose to do it, have asked for guidance and are just pursuing the Lord together. It is really lovely!
